Sounds for Ukraine

"Sounds for Ukraine" – fundraising music concert that took place in St Paul's Actors Church In September 2022. Our team of professional pianists and talented amateurs performed classical pieces by celebrated composers and their own compositions inspired by Ukrainian music. Performers prefaced their musical numbers with reflections about war and peace, trauma and memory, empathy and activism. All the funds from tickets and merchandise were donated to an educational theatre organisation NGO Molotok in Transcarpathia in Ukraine. Thank you Olga Stezhko, Olga Paliy, Tomislav Fras, Zeqi (Zeus) Li, Andrey Novikov, and Christopher Faulkner for your trust, brilliant ideas and participation in the project. It's been an honour to have all of you in the team and perform alongside such talented creatives. My gratitude to my family Olena, Volodymyr and Valera; Yasse Saidi, Petar Mihalj, Ianthe Cox-Willmott, Ivanna Khomyak and Sofiya Maryniyak for all the support and assistance. And especially to my music teachers Natalia Tolmachova and Julia Vash.
